Job summary

Huntress, a remote-first cybersecurity company, seeks a Security Operations Center leader to guide a global team of analysts in incident response, forensics, malware analysis, and threat hunting. You will define workflows, scale operations, and provide training to accelerate career growth while aligning with Huntress’ mission to protect customers 24/7.

You will enable analysts to meet service levels, collaborate with Product and Support, and drive initiatives across the Security organization,

Qualifications

• Experience leading diverse cybersecurity teams across Security Operations, Digital Forensics, Incident Response, Malware Analysis, Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering.
• 5+ years as Security Analyst in a global 24x7 SOC with focus on Windows forensics.
• 2+ years in team lead or managerial roles in global operations centers, MSSP/MDR/IR experience preferred.
• Active involvement in the information security community via conferences or public projects.
• Continual learning of threat actor tradecraft, detection techniques and SOC concepts.
• Ability to document workflows with detailed diagrams and operating procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and enforce internal processes to reduce burnout and increase productivity in a global SOC.
• Manage and enforce 24/7 shift coverage across the globe.
• Hold weekly 1:1 meetings with analysts to set focus, gather feedback and support career growth.
• Develop and implement analyst training programs for Digital Forensics, IR, Malware Analysis, Threat Hunting and Automation.
• Collaborate with Product to prioritize new capabilities for analysts.
• Maintain quality assurance for the designated region.
• Coordinate with Support to streamline SOC-related partner/customer workflows.
• Strengthen relationships with Tactical Response, Threat Hunting and Detection Engineering teams.
• Provide technical leadership to SOC analysts.
• Ensure alignment of team goals with Huntress’ mission.
• Input and guidance to Marketing, Sales, Support and Product stakeholders.
• Develop, track and report on Objectives and Key Results for SOC initiatives.
• Operationalize new technologies and services Huntress brings to market.
• Participate in public speaking (webinars and in-person).
