Huntress, a remote-first cybersecurity company founded in 2015, protects enterprises by operating an in-house SOC and delivering threat detection and response at scale. This executive role leads the TD&R ecosystem across SOC, DE&TH, and Adversary Tactics, shaping multi-year strategy and an agentic operating model.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, and Sales to evolve the SOC, automate repetitive investigations, and build a trusted leadership bench capable of guiding teams

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading modern security operations.
• 5+ years leading through other managers and directors.
• Proven success in creating and executing a strategic plan for a major security function.
• Strong business judgment linking security metrics to customer retention, margin, and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead the entire TD&R function across all sub-departments and own strategic bets and outcomes.
• Own the long-term TD&R system design and enable directors to operate with clarity.
• Partner with Product and Innovation to execute an agentic SOC roadmap and build deep internal trust.
• Drive measurable threat detection and response outcomes (MTTx, coverage, quality).
• Lead change management for the agentic SOC transition and foster candor across teams.
• Identify bottlenecks, tool friction, or analyst burnout risks and build solutions without waiting for permission.
• Build a resilient leadership bench capable of navigating high-pressure incidents with calm leadership.
• Prioritize rapid security wins and iterate based on frontline signals.
