Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services is seeking a Global Equipment Engineer to specify, improve and implement production equipment for rubber processing. You will collaborate with facility, process, procurement, QA and site teams to deliver reliable machinery.

This role emphasizes project management across global facilities, adherence to GMP standards, and continuous improvement of equipment to sustain technical leadership in the market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Control, or Industrial preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment/ Equipment control related.
• Experience managing equipment projects including; specification, procurement, installation and qualification.
• Strong engineering and trouble shooting skills.
• Proven working experience in project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a dynamic environment with minimal direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & preferably a second language).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering, management, plant operations and global team members as SME for compounding and dimensioning equipment.
• Drive standardization and harmonization of production equipment and documentation globally.
• Analyze and evaluate existing systems to identify design challenges and improvements.
• Stay updated on new equipment standards and market trends.
• Collaborate with vendors to understand root causes and implement modifications.
• Coordinate GMP validations and process engineering evaluations for equipment.
• Ensure equipment aligns with safety and quality policies across the network.
• Manage equipment projects from URS to PQ with GMP-compliant documentation.
• Communicate with cross-functional teams to achieve corporate goals.
• Ensure maintenance procedures ensure reliability, safety and performance.
