Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services in the United States is seeking a Global Equipment Engineer to support growth by providing state of the art production equipment and continuous improvement of existing equipment to secure technical leadership.

You will specify, improve and implement equipment for rubber extruding, straining and dimensioning across global production facilities, collaborating with facility, process engineering, procurement, quality groups and site teams.

Responsibilities

• As Subject Matter Expert (SME) for compounding and dimensioning equipment you lead engineering, management, plant operations and global team members while working with vendors to develop engineering specifications for new equipment or required improvements on existing equipment to support the rubber mixing and dimensioning process.
• Drive forward the standardization & harmonization of our production equipment and associated documentation across the global network.
• Working with Process Engineering analyze and evaluate existing systems and processes, identifying value-added and non-value-added activities to identify required design challenges.
• Keep up to date on new and future equipment standards and trends in the market and identify value-added improvement which may be beneficial.
