Job summary

West Pharmaceutical Services invites a Global Equipment Engineer to join our production technology team. You will specify, improve and implement rubber extrusion, straining and dimensioning equipment across our global facilities, collaborating with facility, process engineering, procurement, quality and site teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Science or Engineering (Electrical, Control, or Industrial preferred).
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Manufacturing Environment/ Equipment control related.
• Experience managing equipment projects including; specification, procurement, installation and qualification.
• Strong engineering and trouble shooting skills.
• Proven working experience in project management.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects in a dynamic environment with minimal direction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & preferably a second language).

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering and vendors to develop specifications for new equipment or required improvements to support the rubber mixing and dimensioning process.
• Drive standardization and harmonization of production equipment and documentation across the global network.
• Analyze existing systems with Process Engineering and identify value-added activities.
• Stay up to date on new equipment standards and trends and identify benefits.
• Lead root cause analysis and implement equipment modifications with vendors.
• Coordinate GMP-related validations and process evaluations for manufacturing equipment.
• Own project management from URS to PQ with GMP-compliant documentation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet corporate goals.
• Ensure equipment aligns with Safety Regulations.
