Job summary

MSA Safety Inc. is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager to lead global digital manufacturing initiatives. You will define the Factory of the Future vision, drive Industry 4.0 programs, and partner with executive teams to set priorities and investment plans across 20+ facilities.

You will oversee scalable implementations of MES, IIoT, AI/ML, Digital Twins, and automation architectures, ensuring data integration with ERP systems and cross-functional delivery through global teams and vendors.

Qualifications

Experience with MES, IIoT, Automation/Controls, SCADA/PLC, data analytics/visualization, ERP integration (SAP), robotics & cobots.
Proven track record leading Industry 4.0 projects with positive financial impact.
Regular documentation and cross-functional collaboration is expected.
Multinational manufacturing environment experience.
Experience in procurement, setup, commissioning, including qualification/validation.
Leadership of cross-functional teams; strong communication; change management; KPI ownership; vendor management.

Responsibilities

Define and execute global Factory of the Future technology vision.
Develop and prioritize Industry 4.0 initiatives.
Identify emerging technologies and assess business value.
Partner with executives to set digital manufacturing priorities and ROI.
Lead scalable digital manufacturing deployments (MES, IIoT, AI/ML, Digital Twins).
Oversee global implementation across manufacturing facilities.
Collaborate with data scientists and engineers on high-value applications.
Establish standards, governance, and metrics across locations.
