Job summary

Pelican Products seeks a Shipping Coordinator to ensure on-time, accurate delivery of products. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare documentation, and work with carriers and internal teams to resolve issues.

The role requires at least 2 years shipping experience, forklift capability, and familiarity with SAP or similar ERP systems; schedule is Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm ET.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years shipping experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of shipping docs, picking/packing, inventory, and cycle counts.
• Experience scheduling shipments with LTL, truckload, and parcel carriers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate shipping/inventory records.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and obtain certification.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from order through delivery.
• Create Bills of Lading, shipping labels, export docs, and related shipping documents.
• Schedule carrier pickups and track/expedite shipments as needed.
• Obtain freight rates and quotes from carriers and logistics providers.
• Record shipment data in SAP or other ERP/shipping systems.
• Review packing lists and routing instructions for accuracy.
• Communicate daily with carriers, Customer Service, Sales, Production, Receiving, and customers to resolve issues.
• Package and protect products for transportation.
• Perform inventory and cycle counts in Shipping and Receiving.
