Job summary

Motorola Solutions’ Silvus Technologies unit in Culver City is seeking a Shipping Associate-I to manage outbound shipments, inspect, pack, and prepare shipping documents for domestic and international orders. The role reports to the Shipping Manager and is on-site, Monday through Friday, 1:30 pm to 10:00 pm, at Silvus Technologies’ Warehouse in Culver City.

Required: high school diploma, 1–3 years with shipping systems, valid driver’s license, and US person status due to federal contracts;

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of experience using FedEx, UPS, and DHL.
• Experience shipping, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience shipping commercial goods to international destinations.
• Highly proficient in Google Suite and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Prior experience in a fast-paced office environment, meeting multiple deadlines.
• Must have a current, valid driver’s license and possess a clean driving record without traffic violations.
• Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
• Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of outbound shipments, including inspection, packing, and accurate preparation of shipping documentation for both domestic and international orders.
• Manage packaging material inventories, ensuring adequate supply for shipping needs.
• Manage the packaging and shipping process of customer orders, as well as the handling of logistics for trade shows.
• Coordinate transportation and carrier services to ensure timely delivery schedules.
• Perform other related duties as necessary.
