Job summary

Pelican Products in Massachusetts is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to ensure on-time, accurate delivery of Pelican products. You will coordinate domestic and international shipments, prepare shipping docs, work with carriers, and use SAP to maintain shipment data from order to delivery.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of shipping experience in warehouse, distribution, or manufacturing.
• Knowledge of shipping documentation, picking/packing, inventory, and cycle counting.
• Experience scheduling shipments with LTL, truckload, and parcel carriers.
• Strong attention to detail with accurate shipping and inventory records.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Word skills.
• Ability to operate a stand-up forklift and obtain certification.
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate domestic and international shipments from order to delivery.
• Create bills of lading, shipping labels, export docs, and other shipping documents.
• Schedule carrier pickups (LTL, truckload, parcel) and track shipments.
• Obtain freight rates and negotiate quotes with carriers/providers.
• Record shipments in SAP or other ERP systems.
• Review pick/pack lists and routing instructions for accuracy.
• Communicate with carriers, customer service, sales, production, and customers.
• Pack, wrap, and protect products for transport.
