Job summary

Hartzell Propeller Inc. seeks a Shipping Coordinator in Piqua, Ohio to oversee timely shipments and accurate documentation. The role focuses on carrier management, export compliance, and efficient order processing while coordinating with multiple departments to meet customer expectations.

The ideal candidate will handle domestic and international shipments, ensure regulatory adherence, and maintain strong carrier relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s degree in Business or related field preferred.
• 2-3 years related experience and training.
• Certification to ship dangerous goods preferred (if applicable)

Responsibilities

• Manage carrier relationships and negotiate freight rates.
• Coordinate day-to-day workload of shipping department.
• Work with Export Compliance Manager to interpret U.S. export regulations.
• Prepare shipments for all departments including domestic, international, and export shipments.
• Process FAA documentation and paperwork as required.
• Communicate with carriers and schedule shipments.
• Coordinate specialized packaging if required.
• Prepare reports for internal and external customers.
• Negotiate freight claims and represent Hartzell in reimbursement matters.
• Assist in product classification per NMFC and EAR/ITAR rules.
