Job summary

Austin Powder seeks a Global SHES Manager – Chemicals to lead the Process Safety Management program across sites handling ammonium nitrate, ammonia and nitric acid, ensuring disciplined change control, incident learning, and regulatory compliance.

You will build PSI, supervise PHA activities, and drive safety improvements across multiple countries, balancing technical leadership with executive communication. Fluent English required; travel up to 25%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in process safety, SHES, or process engineering in chemical manufacturing.
• Expert knowledge of OSHA PSM elements (29 CFR 1910.119) and their implementation.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive the global PSM program across sites handling highly hazardous chemicals.
• Lead Process Hazard Analyses (PHA) using HAZOP, What-If, FMEA, LOPA, and bow-tie methods.
• Direct MOC and PSSR processes to ensure safe startup and operation.
