Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical or mechanical engineering, or equivalent.
• 12+ years in a process safety engineering role in an industrial setting.
• Anhydrous ammonia experience considered an asset in chemical processing environments.
• Experience with PHAPro, SAP, Excel, Word, Visio.
• Working knowledge of process safety management (29 CFR 1910.119) and risk management plan regulations (40 CFR 68).

Responsibilities

• Lead PSM and RMP programs across multiple facilities.
• Partner with site leadership to strengthen process safety performance and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in process safety audits, assessments and compliance initiatives.
• Facilitate PHAs, risk assessments, SILD studies, and other reviews.
• Oversee MOC processes and PSSR.
• Lead incident investigations and ensure corrective actions.
• Review emergency response plans and strengthen site preparedness.
• Track process safety KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Coach frontline leaders on process safety expectations and field engagement.
• Travel up to 30% to support Nutrien's network.
