Lenovo is seeking a Senior SEP Portfolio Manager/Attorney to lead a global team overseeing SEP portfolios in cellular and Wi‑Fi standards. You will review work from outside counsel, verify SEP charts, and drive strategic alignment with Lenovo business goals across regions.

The role requires deep patent law knowledge (US/China/Europe), experience with PCT/WIPO, and a history of effective leadership in a technology company. Remote-friendly with on-site options in Morrisville, NC or Chicago, IL.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Computer Engineering, Signal Processing, or related disciplines.
• Understanding of 3GPP and Wi-Fi technologies and rules for patenting software and cellular/Wi-Fi standards worldwide.
• Patent Agent/Attorney qualification in US, China, or Europe; knowledge of PCT/WIPO, US, and China patent law.

Aufgaben

• Collaborate with global Lenovo wireless researchers to grow SEP portfolios in cellular and Wi‑Fi standards.
• Lead, coach, and develop a global team of SEP Portfolio Managers and Paralegals across regions.
• Manage review of work product of Lenovo Outside Counsel, including patent drafts and strategies.
• Develop and verify SEP claim charts via standard technical specifications (3GPP, Wi‑Fi).
• Review portfolio to track SEP spending in filings, prosecution, and annuities.
• Identify and prepare SEPs for litigation.
• Perform validity and essentiality analysis.
• Support business transactions including patent assignments, sales, and acquisitions.
