Job summary

Amazon seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead global PSM initiatives and ensure compliance across facilities worldwide. The role emphasizes risk analysis, regulatory adherence, and RBPS governance in projects involving Highly Hazardous Chemicals and alternative energy systems.

You will mentor teams, develop safety information, and implement tools to maintain robust process safety programs aligned with CCPS and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in chemical/process safety engineering or related field.
• 6+ years of process safety engineering experience in manufacturing with design, installation and commissioning.
• Experience conducting PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, FMEA) and risk assessment.
• Experience with consequence modeling (PHAST/ALOHA/FLACS or equivalent).
• Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems engineering including SIL, SIF, IEC 61511.

Responsibilities

• Lead or facilitate PHAs (HAZOP/LOPA/FMEA) across global operations.
• Oversee risk mitigation strategies and corrective actions.
• Coordinate development of process safety information.
• Ensure regulatory compliance with OSHA PSM/EPA RMP and Seveso equivalents.
• Develop and maintain RBPS governance framework.
• Drive safe design and operation of alternative energy systems.
• Define KPIs and report progress to senior leadership.
• Develop tools to ensure OSHA PSM compliance and hazard identification.
