Job summary

McCormick & Company, Incorporated in Hunt Valley, MD, seeks a Senior Director for SOX & Internal Controls to lead the global internal controls over financial reporting program and ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance across the organization.

This hybrid role partners with Finance, IT, Legal, and external auditors to design, implement, and continuously improve control frameworks, especially through integrations and acquisitions. The position demands deep expertise in SOX, COSO, and SEC reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.
• 12+ years in internal controls, SOX, or related finance roles.
• Experience leading global SOX programs.
• Strong COSO, SEC, and governance knowledge.
• Public accounting or Big Four background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead global SOX compliance program across regions and segments.
• Define long-term Internal Controls and SOX strategy.
• Partner with IT, Finance, and operations to embed controls.
• Oversee Workiva governance, risk, and compliance tools.
• Represent McCormick to external auditors and regulators.
• Mentor and develop the internal controls team.
