Job summary

Molex is seeking a Senior Global Category Manager to lead the development and execution of the semiconductor category strategy, enabling Molex's five divisions to innovate and scale. You will build and manage a world-class global supply base, drive supplier performance, and align supplier capabilities with Molex's product and technology roadmaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business or engineering.
• 10+ years in procurement, electronics category, sourcing, and engineering.
• Understanding of product development process.
• Experience in pricing and contract negotiation.
• Knowledge of semiconductor category, market dynamics and sourcing techniques.
• Experience managing electronic component subcategories.
• Willingness to travel up to 40%.

Responsibilities

• Lead the global strategy and execution for Molex's Semiconductor category.
• Build and shape a world-class semiconductor supply base for all divisions.
• Define and manage PSL and APL, aligning supplier roadmaps with product innovation.
• Collaborate with R&D, Product Development, and Sourcing to translate strategy into action.
• Engage suppliers early in NPD to optimize costs and achieve savings.
• Strengthen partnerships via executive reviews, roadmap sessions, and events.
• Drive supply assurance across the product lifecycle and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead RFIs and RFQ initiatives and integrate pricing and market intelligence into negotiations.
• Support multi-year VAVE initiatives and align with engineering to maximize value.
• Communicate with Molex leadership and supplier ecosystem to influence decisions.
