Job summary

Qualifications

• 7–10 years in semiconductor sourcing, manufacturing, or related high-tech environment.
• Strong understanding of semiconductor industry, embedded systems, and HW/SW ecosystems.
• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, cost management and risk mitigation.
• Ability to read technical specs, BOMs, roadmaps, and product requirements.
• Strong analytical, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global environment with integrity.

Responsibilities

• Lead global sourcing and commodity strategies for semiconductors to support speed, cost, and supply continuity.
• Assess semiconductor architectures (SoCs, MCUs, DSPs) and their software/hardware integration.
• Evaluate suppliers on hardware capabilities and software ecosystems, incl. SDKs and tooling.
• Analyze total value including hardware pricing, software licensing, and lifecycle costs.
• Collaborate with Hardware Eng, Embedded Software, Firmware, and Product teams on roadmaps.
• Lead supplier selection and negotiations for components, IP, and development tools.
• Identify supplier risks and implement mitigation, including alternatives and capacity planning.
• Foster strategic supplier partnerships for hardware/software differentiation.
• Lead QBRs/EBRs and communicate complex data to executives clearly.
• Partner with Product Cost Engineering on predictive cost models.
• Oversee product supply chain with Contract Manufacturing teams during escalations.
• Monitor supply risks, EOL, tariffs, and geopolitical risks; travel up to 15%.
