Job summary

Back Market is seeking a 6-month Business Development Intern to join our Paris team. You’ll qualify and onboard Asian sellers, grow their business, and act as a bridge between sellers and internal teams to deliver a strong e-commerce experience.

You’ll contribute to BD enablement projects, develop content, and support webinars, with a focus on growth and market expansion in a fast-paced startup environment.

Qualifications

• 6-month internship
• English and Mandarin are required; additional languages a plus
• Strong time management and prioritization
• Detail-oriented with strong listening and organizational skills
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently
• Analytical and critical thinking with data-driven decision making
• Positive learning attitude and motivation to grow in a fast-paced startup
• Experience in content creation and live broadcasting is a plus
• Familiarity with Salesforce, SQL and Tableau is advantageous but not mandatory, willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Qualify and onboard new sellers to grow Back Market’s selection
• Manage activated sellers with 1:1 account management and pooled coverage, focusing on GMV and quality
• Collaborate with internal teams (quality, logistics, finance, legal) to support new sellers
• Identify top sellers on competitors platforms and evaluate global supply origins
• Support BD communications, including creating education content and webinars; develop Chinese/English BD content library
