Job summary

Vylor Inc. is seeking a Senior Seed Quality Scientist to lead the global precommercial seed quality testing program across corn and other crops.

You will translate complex data into actionable advancement decisions and serve as the technical authority on seed quality. The role combines data stewardship, experimental design, and cross-functional collaboration with R&D, Production, and Commercial teams worldwide.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Agronomy, Crop or Seed Science or related field.
• 5+ years of relevant industry or research experience.
• Experience with mixed-model analysis and experimental design.
• Experience managing research data pipelines in enterprise systems.
• Strong statistics and multi-year data interpretation skills (R preferred).
• Experience designing field trials and interpreting field data.

Responsibilities

• Direct the global precommercial seed quality testing program.
• Own corn stress-vigor assay methodology and set advancement criteria.
• Analyze parental seed quality data to flag high-risk germplasm.
• Plan and coordinate multi-location field trials using precision ag and imaging.
• Diagnose quality issues and recommend mitigation.
• Present findings at forums and train teams across regions.
• Supervise one direct report and interns; assist budget planning.
