Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in risk management or related field with 15 years of security management experience.
• On-the-ground security management experience in Africa, Asia or the Middle East.
• Experience implementing security protocols in conflict areas.
• Experience in crisis management.
• Experience working at a senior level within U.S. Government-funded projects.
• Demonstrated leadership qualities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple cultures.
• Experience in handling multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Record of effective safety and security training delivery in the INGO context.
• Established network of global safety and security services.
• Experience in obtaining, analysing, disseminating, and reporting safety & security information, including delivery of comprehensive security reports.
• Experience in interacting with developing world government authorities and local law enforcement.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint and Word.

Responsibilities

• Develop and oversee global security policies and standards.
• Provide guidance on physical security, risk identification, and crisis management.
• Act as Jhpiego interface for safety and security functions.
• Lead analysis of security exposures and benchmark standards.
• Manage vendor relationships for safety and security services.
• Oversee safety-related risk investigations and regulatory compliance.
• Prepare investigations and incident reports.
• Review asset security strategy and develop risk management plans.
• Ensure physical security risk gaps are identified and mitigated.
• Oversee travel security planning for executives and staff.
• Advise on travel security risks and real-time responses.
• Develop relationships with INGO security representatives for intelligence.
