Job summary

SMX is seeking a Security Cooperation Analyst to support defense and partner efforts through planning, risk analysis, and liaison work across DoD and interagency partners. You will develop briefing products and recommendations to advance the Technical Capability portfolio while coordinating with multiple project teams. The role requires the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance and U.S.

citizenship. You will contribute to risk assessments, policy briefings, and program performance metrics,

Qualifications

• Required clearance: Ability to obtain up to a Top Secret clearance.
• Experience supporting U.S. Government national security or foreign affairs missions in a customer-facing role.
• Experience conducting risk analysis or assessments related to foreign investment, technology protection, export control, or defense industrial base and supply chain resiliency.
• Experience coordinating with U.S. interagency partners, including in classified settings.
• Experience preparing and delivering written and verbal briefings to senior government leaders on policy, programmatics, and risk status.
• Knowledge of process improvement techniques and ability to support improvement initiatives.
• Strong research, analytical, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports Defense Security Cooperation and international partner efforts, including planning, coordination, and execution of capability development initiatives.
• Conducts risk analysis related to technology transfer, foreign disclosure, export control, and supply chain considerations for new capabilities.
• Coordinates with DoD, State Department, and interagency to align priorities and resources.
• Prepares and delivers briefing products for senior government decision makers on partner engagement and program status.
• Assists with prioritization and resource coordination across multiple projects.
• Maintains production and quality metrics for assigned programs and projects.
• Monitors security cooperation compliance and supports corrective actions as required.
• Supports business development activities and proposal development.
• Establishes and maintains relationships with government program managers and international partners.
