Job summary

SMX seeks an Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to provide senior leadership for security across highly complex programs onsite in Camp Springs, MD. The role requires a Top-Secret clearance and DHS USCIS experience.

Responsibilities include setting security objectives, managing staffing and schedules, directing cross-functional security activities, and mentoring executives on governance and culture. A Bachelor’s degree is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
• Active DHS Suitability clearance required.
• Direct experience working within DHS USCIS.
• IAM Level III certification or similar (CISSP/CISM).
• Knowledgeable with FISM, NIST, ATOs, RMF.
• Top-Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree required.

The leadership team will foster the organizational culture of high performing solution delivery. This position is onsite in Camp Springs, Maryland and requires a Top-Secret clearance.

Essential Duties

The Information System Security Manager (ISSM) provides senior leadership for security aspects of highly complex technology programs under this task order, setting security objectives, defining scope and goals, and selecting appropriate security methodologies. The ISSM forecasts and recommends security staffing and resources, develops and manages schedules for concurrent security initiatives, directs cross-functional security activities, and takes timely corrective action to address risks and issues. The ISSM oversees major security deliverables, mentors senior executives on security governance and culture, and applies advanced technical expertise and strong analytical skills to inform decisions.

Required Skills & Experience

$103,100—$171,800 USD
