Job summary

Appnovation Technologies is hiring a Cloud Solutions Architect to scale enterprise platforms on AWS, designing multi-region, caching, and federation strategies for tens of thousands of users.

You will mentor engineers, define non-functional requirements, and collaborate with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls while guiding build-vs-buy decisions and technology evaluations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field; 8+ years in engineering; 3+ years in architecture.
• Senior AWS cloud architecture experience; certification preferred.
• Caching strategies, data federation, and performance/load testing.
• Security architecture including RBAC/ABAC.
• Infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation) and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).
• Strong networking, IAM, cost optimization, and observability tooling.
• Ability to work in an enterprise engineering lifecycle and communicate with stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Architect the platform for enterprise scale on AWS.
• Evaluate PostgreSQL/Supabase backend scalability; design caching tiers and multi-region federation.
• Own the load-testing strategy and define responsiveness targets across geographies.
• Ensure security and access-control for sensitive content architecture.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical standards.
• Mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
• Define non-functional requirements (availability, resilience, cost, observability).
• Partner with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls.
• Support build-vs-buy decisions and technology evaluations.
