Job summary

Appnovation Technologies in Phoenix is seeking a Senior Cloud Solutions Architect to scale our platform on AWS, design multi-region architectures, and guide engineering teams through best practices in security, performance, and cost optimization.

You will produce architectural standards, mentor engineers, and collaborate with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls. A strong consulting mindset and prior experience in enterprise engineering lifecycle are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Experience designing high-scale, low-latency systems and multi-region distributed architectures.
• Senior cloud architecture experience on AWS; AWS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Architect the platform for enterprise scale on AWS.
• Evaluate scalability of backend and design caching, multi-region, and federation as needed.
• Own load-testing strategy and set performance targets across geographies.
• Ensure architecture meets security and access-control needs for sensitive content.
• Produce architecture diagrams, decision records, and technical standards.
• Guide and mentor engineers on cloud best practices and patterns.
• Define non-functional requirements (availability, resilience, cost, observability).
• Partner with security and compliance to meet enterprise controls.
• Support build-vs-buy decisions and technology evaluations.
