Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Director, Global Sanctions & Export Control Compliance to design, execute and oversee compliance frameworks across the enterprise. The role drives program enhancements and develops trainings for stakeholders worldwide.

The candidate will lead risk assessments, oversee screening and investigations, and support regulatory examinations in a fast-paced environment, requiring strong communication and strategic oversight.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, JD/Master’s preferred or equivalent experience in Financial Crimes Compliance.
• Experience in sanctions and export controls.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design, execution, and oversight of Mastercard’s sanctions and export control compliance frameworks.
• Drive enhancements to the enterprise sanctions and export controls programs.
• Develop and deliver trainings and communications on program requirements across the enterprise.
• Lead enterprise risk assessment process for sanctions and export controls related risks.
• Provide oversight of sanctions screening for customers, third parties and employees.
• Support due diligence and integration in mergers, acquisitions, and investments; lead program enhancements.
