Job summary

Parker Lord is seeking an experienced Sales Account Manager to join the Performance Materials Division. This role requires heavy travel and a preferred Cary, NC location, with openness to Southeast and Midwest candidates.

The successful candidate will manage existing relationships, identify new business opportunities, forecast usage, and ensure adherence to Parker terms. Strong communication, negotiation, and market development skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in Sales, Marketing, Business Development.
• B2B experience and/or knowledge of marketing, market research and business development.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to cold call potential clients.

Responsibilities

• Travel 50-70% overnight; manage existing accounts and grow new relationships.
• Develop and expand a sales pipeline across automotive and industrial segments.
• Coordinate with service, logistics, finance and tech teams to fulfill customer needs.
• Lead negotiations and maintain margin targets per account and market plan.
• Engage with distributors and customers to achieve annual growth objectives.
