Job summary

Madrigal Pharmaceuticals seeks a Senior Director, Global Safety Physician to lead medical oversight for safety in clinical studies and postmarketing. You will drive signal assessment, benefit–risk evaluation, and safety strategy across development and marketed products.

The role requires extensive regulatory experience, leadership in global teams, and strong collaboration with Clinical Development, Regulatory Affairs, Biostats, and Operations.

Qualifications

• MD or equivalent medical degree and licensure eligibility.
• 15+ years of combined experience in industry, clinical safety, pharmacovigilance, or related roles.
• Deep knowledge of GCP, ICH E2E, GVP modules, and global regulatory safety expectations.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical oversight for safety signals from trials, spontaneous reports, and literature.
• Lead or participate in safety signal detection, evaluation, and documentation with Safety Management Teams.
• Author or review safety content in regulatory documents and respond to health authority queries.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on safety strategy and governance.
