Zusammenfassung

Sapio Sciences seeks a Financial Controller to own global accounting and financial reporting for a private equity-backed SaaS life sciences business operating across multiple countries and entities. FP&A owns budgeting; this role ensures accuracy, integrity and timeliness of the numbers, partnering with the VP-Finance and sponsor.

The ideal candidate will lead multi-entity close, monitor SaaS metrics, and drive process improvements while embedding robust internal controls and audit readiness.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• CPA (or international equivalent — ACA, ACCA, CIMA) required.
• 8+ years of progressive accounting experience, including public accounting.
• Experience owning global, multi-entity, multi-currency consolidation.
• Deep knowledge of US GAAP (606, 842, equity comp); IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in a SaaS/software business; PE environment preferred.
• Experience with lender reporting in a PE-backed setting.
• Experience managing a distributed team.
• ERP experience with NetSuite or comparable systems.
• MUST sit within the Eastern Time Zone of the United States.

Aufgaben

• Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close and consolidation across all entities.
• Ensure accurate US GAAP reporting and IFRS/UK GAAP awareness.
• Deliver monthly/quarterly packages to CFO, board, and sponsor with SaaS metrics.
• Drive close efficiency and automation improvements.
• Design and maintain internal controls and SOX-readiness.
• Oversee audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Lead treasury, cash forecasting, and banking relationships.
• Support M&A due diligence and post-close integrations.
• Develop and mentor a distributed accounting team.
