Job summary

Dematic is seeking a Risk Assessment Engineer to lead safety analyses for mobile robotics and AGV systems in the US. You will perform risk assessments, DFMEA, and identify Safety Functions, while preparing compliance documentation for regulatory standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering/mechatronics with 5+ years of risk assessment experience and strong English communication. Some travel to customer sites is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, mechatronics, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in product risk assessment.
• Experience with FMEA methodology.
• Knowledge of US regulatory frameworks (OSHA 1910.178, ANSI B11, B11.19, B11.26, B56.5, UL583, FCC).
• Ability to lead risk assessment workshops.

Responsibilities

• Perform risk assessments for mobile robots and AGV systems.
• Execute system-level risk assessments for mobile robotics solutions.
• Identify Safety Functions and required Performance Levels.
• Conduct DFMEA.
• Maintain safety documentation to demonstrate regulatory compliance.
• Travel to customer sites for on-site risk assessments.
