Job summary

Dematic is seeking a seasoned Software Engineer to develop and maintain software for AGV and mechatronic systems. You’ll work in a cross-functional, agile R&D team, contributing across the full software lifecycle from analysis to release.

Remote-friendly from the U.S., with a base in Grand Rapids, MI, you’ll mentor others and collaborate with global teams to deliver robust solutions. The role requires a CS/engineering degree and extensive hands-on experience with C#/.NET Core, Docker/Kubernetes,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related field.
• 8 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Developer, Technical Support Engineer or related occupation.
• 1 year of experience with AGV functions in warehouse settings using TiliaLight, AutoCAD, and Visual Studio; E'tricc 5.x and 6.x, PACS, StackInsights, StackFleet, Epia Shell, and StackPortal; using C# / .NET Core, SQL, Git; technologies including Object Oriented Programming, Docker/Kubernetes, Azure Cloud, TCP/IP, Web Services, Message Broker, and Angular; working within logistics industry, warehouse automation or material handling; and Agile software development and Testing principles and practices.
• Located at Dematic Corp. Headquarters in Grand Rapids, MI. Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S. Full-time position.

Responsibilities

• Develop quality software products for internal and external customers with a focus on offboard software for AGVs and other mechatronic equipment.
• Perform a range of software product development activities within a cross functional agile R&D team.
• Analyze, Build, Test, Integrate, Release and Support full software life cycle.
• Collaborate with global agile development teams in an international environment.
• Analyze requirements, test, and integrate application components.
• Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.
