Job summary

Anew Climate, LLC seeks a Global Risk Manager to lead enterprise and market risk across US, Canada, Europe and Asia. You will design risk policies, monitor exposures in real time, and ensure trading activities stay within approved tolerances.

This high-visibility role sits at the crossroads of trading, analytics and compliance, reports to the CFO, and partners with finance, legal and operations to strengthen end-to-end risk controls.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in risk management, preferably in commodities or energy trading.
• Experience with environmental commodities (carbon credits, LCFS, EU ETS).
• Experience with global trading desks or multi-jurisdiction risk frameworks.
• Proficiency with risk modeling tools and data analytics platforms.
• Ability to communicate complex risk concepts to diverse audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive change.
• Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the global risk management framework across all offices and lines.
• Monitor market and credit risk across carbon, renewables, power, and related markets.
• Develop, implement and maintain risk policies and controls per jurisdiction.
• Lead bi-weekly Risk Committee meetings with executive leadership.
• Oversee risk analytics, dashboards, VaR models, stress tests and reports.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to assess risk of structured transactions.
• Track regulatory changes across US, Canada, EU, and other regions.
• Support audits and strengthen end-to-end risk controls across the firm.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Operations and Technology for governance.
