Job summary

Optum is seeking an Intelligence Operations Analyst to provide real-time monitoring and situational awareness within the Global Intelligence Operations (GIO). The role focuses on emerging incidents that could impact personnel, assets, operations, or major activities.

Operating under procedures and escalation protocols, the analyst tracks hazards such as crime, civil unrest, terrorism, and environmental threats to deliver timely updates and context for decision-making.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in security operations, intelligence, or related field.
• Familiarity with OSINT sources, social media monitoring, and SA tools.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
• Ability to review large volumes of info quickly and extract actionable details.
• Strong written communication to summarize fast-moving situations.
• Calm, focused, and detail-oriented in high-stress environments.
• Ability to support 24/7 rotational shifts.

Responsibilities

• Conduct real-time, all-source monitoring of global security events to identify incidents and risks with potential company impact.
• Triage alerts and extract relevant details affecting personnel, facilities, or operations.
• Provide initial situational awareness and context for security incidents, including disasters and active threats.
• Draft and disseminate notifications and situational updates per procedures.
• Maintain logs and documentation to support continuity and after-action reviews.
• Collaborate with fusion centers, security partners, and stakeholders for information sharing.
• Support 24/7/365 coverage through rotational shifts.
