Job summary

Neuberger Berman seeks a dynamic Business Manager for the Global Risk Group to support the Co-CROs, guide the department, and lead key initiatives. The role combines analytical thinking with strategic planning and operational execution to drive governance processes and risk reporting across the firm.

You'll coordinate cross-functional projects, manage onboarding and events, and champion continuous process improvements while aligning with the firm's governance framework and reporting obligations.

Qualifications

  • Analytical thinker with strategic planning and operational execution capabilities.
  • Experience supporting governance frameworks, risk or operations, and cross-location teams.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent workstreams with tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Manage projects directed by Co-CROs, including systems, audits, regulatory requests, and change initiatives.
  • Own governance calendar; coordinate risk committee packs, reporting deadlines, SOC 1 audits, quarterly reviews.
  • Support delivery of risk committee materials, track actions, metrics and KRIs, and ensure closure of items.
  • Help manage Risk Group budget process and vendor/data contracts.
  • Own risk team materials and act as contact with partners for documentation like RFPs and audits.
  • Support onboarding, training, and team communications; plan events and town halls.
  • Identify inefficiencies in workflows and lead remediation projects.
  • Support tech/tooling initiatives and liaise with technology and enablement teams.
  • Assist in designing and overseeing SOPs across the department.
  • Manage team meetings and offsites; drive follow-up.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to align risk initiatives.
  • Chair working groups or committees as directed.
