Job summary

CNA seeks a Senior Risk Control professional at the AVP level to influence policy, guide complex risk assessments, and collaborate with underwriting on national and international strategies. This role operates across broad risk control areas with leadership responsibility.

This position requires ten years of experience, a bachelor’s degree (masters preferred), professional designations, and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Engages with underwriting to drive corporate strategies for targeted lines of business, industry or specialized risk control area.
• Optimizes distribution engagement, strengthening relationships with agents and brokers to provide customer solutions.
• Analyzes risk control strengths and weaknesses to maintain a competitive edge in the marketplace.
• Develops United States or global risk control strategies to positively impact loss ratios, new business goals and retention requirements to achieve profitability targets.
• Supports branch(s) or territory with technical expertise to ensure ongoing organizational learning, development, and advancement of industry expertise and specialization.
• Reviews large and complex risks across BUs, applying risk control policies and regulations to drive solutions.
• Influences policy, operating plans and business strategy with a global focus.
• Develops and maintains relationships with internal and external partners; SME in CNA’s portfolio.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.
