Job summary

Catholic Relief Services is seeking a Business Development Writer to contribute to high-impact donor proposals. You will lead writing efforts, edit complex proposals to improve readability, and coordinate with cross-functional teams across a global remote environment. Fluency in English required; French or Spanish a plus.

The role involves collaboration with technical leads, travel internationally approximately 35%, and support for broader BD communications and capacity-building initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English, communications, international development or related field.
• Minimum eight years of experience in international development, with at least three years writing competitive funding proposals or similar technical communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead writer for concept notes, expressions of interest, and proposals with input from technical leads.
• Edit complex proposals to improve readability and align with AP style.
• Collaborate with proposal coordinators, sector leads, and partners to ensure donor requirements are met.
• Guide writing quality for reports and donor marketing materials as needed.
