Job summary

First Solar seeks an accomplished Reliability Engineering leader to guide design and process changes, build screening and qualification plans, and oversee DFMEA/PFMEA practices. Qualifications

• M.S. in an engineering discipline; Ph.D. preferred.
• 10+ years in engineering with volume manufacturing and process/product improvement.
• 8+ years leading and managing process engineering or development.
• 5+ years in Quality and/or Reliability leadership in a global setting with UL & IEC familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Implements safety culture and safety-first mentality.
• Verifies and validates product design; leads qualification of new technologies at module level.
• Establishes FMEA-based risk assessments linked to reliability requirements.
• Develops qualification processes to limit risk in product release and identify quality factors.
• Drives root cause analysis for field and factory issues and communicates findings cross-functionally.
