Job summary

3M is seeking a Specialist in Global Converting Procurement to drive category leadership for Outsourced Converting Services. You will own supplier relationships, negotiate agreements, and lead cost-reduction initiatives across divisions while collaborating with Manufacturing, R&D, Marketing, Finance and Supply Chain Operations.

The role emphasizes strategic sourcing, dual-sourcing decisions, and risk management, with on-site work at the Maplewood, MN location and travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start.
• Five (5) years of combined experience in Sourcing, Procurement, Engineering and/or Manufacturing in a private, public, government or military environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide Category Ownership across 3M Businesses & Divisions for Outsourced Converting Services.
• Lead supplier selection and own external supplier relationships as the key contact for 3M.
• Drive Should Cost Model and cost reduction initiatives where appropriate.
• Lead contract negotiations with strategic supply partners with 3M Division stakeholders and 3M Legal.
• Identify and develop category risk reduction strategies with 3M stakeholders.
