AXA XL’s Reinsurance Wordings (RW) team seeks a Wordings Specialist in Stamford, CT. You will analyse treaty wordings, provide advisory services to underwriters and clients, and ensure underwriting intent aligns with guidelines across North America, Bermuda and the International Re region.

You’ll collaborate with legal, underwriting, claims and compliance teams, share best practices, and develop robust wording solutions.

Qualifications

Ability to interpret and analyze reinsurance clauses and to satisfy these by producing and/or critiquing reinsurance clauses and wordings in a clear and robust manner (in English).
Experience with treaty reinsurance wordings and analyses to support underwriting teams.
Strong English communication and advisory skills for underwriters, clients and brokers.

Responsabilités

Analyse existing and new Treaty wordings, explaining clauses and delivering timely, commercial solutions.
Refine or expand wordings and clauses in collaboration with stakeholders.
Collaborate across Reinsurance Segment, Legal, Claims, Compliance and Underwriting Governance teams.
Deliver training and pre-bind/post-bind wording advice to underwriting teams.
Highlight coverage exposure to emerging and systemic risks and advise on underwriting discipline.
