Job summary

Visa seeks an Associate Counsel to join its Global Regulatory Affairs team. The role is based in Atlanta, Austin, New York or San Francisco and reports to the VP, Global Regulatory Affairs.

You will coordinate regulatory matters across 200+ countries and support internal teams with advisory services, regulatory submissions, and policy engagements. The candidate should have excellent judgment, strong analytical and communication skills, and be comfortable using emerging technologies.

Qualifications

  • 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree and J.D. from an accredited law school.
  • Member of the bar of any U.S. state and in good standing.
  • Admitted to practice law in the United States and in good standing.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Visa's global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams to understand and achieve key regulatory objectives, and manage complex and time-sensitive regulatory matters.
  • Support global and regional legal, business, and government affairs teams in developing and executing global regulatory positions and strategy, draft regulatory submissions, and support direct engagements with governments, regulators, and policymakers around the world.
  • Develop global best practices in key areas on an ongoing basis, and ensure global regulatory strategies are applied consistently and effectively across the organization, functions and regions.
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail in all aspects of analysis, drafting, research and communication.
  • Manage multiple priorities, consistently deliver exceptionally high-quality work product, and meet tight deadlines.
