Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Senior Director, Global Real Estate to lead a global portfolio of offices, laboratories, and facilities, and to drive AI-enabled real estate strategy. You will partner with Operations, Finance, IT, HR, Legal, and executive leadership to optimize footprint, security, and performance across regions, while managing large-scale real estate transactions and capital planning.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Real Estate, Engineering, Operations, Security Management, or related field.
• MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of leadership experience in corporate real estate, facilities management, physical security, operations, or related disciplines.
• Experience managing complex global real estate portfolios in manufacturing, life sciences, healthcare, logistics, or regulated industries.
• Proven success in real estate transactions, portfolio optimization, capital planning, and facilities operations.
• Experience leading analytics, digital transformation, AI, or technology-enabled improvements.

Responsibilities

• Lead Avantor's global real estate strategy, portfolio planning, site selection, lease negotiations, acquisitions, dispositions, expansions, consolidations, and facility investments.
• Develop and maintain enterprise-wide security programs, including access control, surveillance, and incident response.
• Own and advance Avantor's Global AI Real Estate Program with data, analytics, and AI-driven insights.
• Manage relationships with real estate, facilities, construction, project management, and security service providers; align with Strategic Sourcing on contracts and performance.
• Establish governance, operating models, policies, reporting frameworks, and performance measures; present to executive leadership.
