Job summary

Elanco, a global leader in animal health, seeks an R&D Project Manager in Indianapolis to guide complex development programs from concept to completion. You will partner with Regulatory, Manufacturing, R&D, and Marketing to design robust plans, manage risks, and drive delivery of the portfolio.

The role requires strategic thinking with macro planning and the ability to manage detailed tasks across global teams, ensuring quality and timely execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a scientific or related field with 8-10 years of relevant experience.
• Comprehensive understanding of veterinary drug development, regulatory submissions, and quality principles (GCP/GLP/GMP).
• Mastery of PM fundamentals per PMBOK and strong Office/PM software skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategic Project & Scope Management: independently manage all PM activities for complex programs, ensuring alignment with goals.
• Timeline & Performance Oversight: own and update project timelines, track critical path, and monitor progress.
• Budget & Financial Partnership: collaborate with Finance to manage budgets, forecast variances, and report costs.
• Proactive Risk & Contingency Planning: assess risks, define mitigations, and trigger contingency plans.
• Process Improvement & Shared Learning: promote quality and share learnings to reduce cycle times.
