Job summary

Abbott, a global healthcare leader, seeks a PRINCIPLE FINANCIAL ANALYST – GLOBAL DEVELOPMENT FINANCE to lead FP&A across Product Development and Analytical Chemistry. The role covers cost center budgeting, headcount management, and productivity initiatives, with interaction across Directors and leadership teams.

You will own month-end close, perform variance analysis, and develop dashboards to monitor program performance and KPI trends, contributing to strategic portfolio decisions.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree or equivalent experience in Finance or Accounting.
• 8+ years' experience in financial planning and analysis or equivalent.
• Strong Excel skills and enterprise system skills.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and standards.
• Ability to work in a highly matrixed and geographically diverse environment.
• Ability to lead projects and influence others in a fast-paced setting.
• Strong verbal and written communications across levels.

Responsibilities

• Support Franchise Product Development and strategic planning forecast of pipeline analysis.
• Facilitate Franchise quarterly LBE process with the R&D groups.
• Provide HC and cost analysis to aid portfolio prioritization decisions.
• Own franchise cost center’s month end close for compliance with policies.
• Prepare monthly close package with spending performance and variances.
• Model financial scenarios and perform NPV/IRR and sensitivity analyses.
• Lead headcount allocation for Product Development, Quality, Ops, Regulatory.
• Own franchise HC roll forward of actual vs LBE year end budget HC.
• Develop and publish financial dashboards to track program performance and KPI’s.
• Identify non-routine process improvements and drive execution.
• Mentor less experienced staff and possibly lead project teams.
