Job summary

Brooks Automation in Fremont, California, is seeking a Quality Engineer (Global Quality Engineering) to lead quality programs across Brooks and contract manufacturers. You will drive CAPA, process improvements, and data-driven quality plans to uphold zero-defect goals.

Responsibilities include leading 8D/5Why problems solving, ISO 9001 compliance, and performance metrics across the product lifecycle. A strong statistical background and collaboration with international teams are essential.

Qualifications

B.S. in a technical discipline with 8+ years of professional work experience as a Quality Engineer.
M.S. in a technical discipline with 5+ years of experience is a plus.
Experience applying statistical methods and tools (DOE, Hypothesis Testing, ANOVA, Gauge R&R, SPC, Capability analysis).
Strong analytical ability and proficiency with Microsoft 365.
Willingness to travel up to 10–15% domestically and internationally.
Ability to work independently and coordinate with international contract manufacturing, factory teams, and customers.
Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing regulations is a plus.
Certification in Quality Engineering, Auditing, Improvement, Six Sigma, Project Management, or LEAN is a plus.

Responsibilities

Serve as Quality lead for Brooks and contract manufacturers; develop and maintain quality plans.
Manage product failure analysis, report generation, and customer presentations.
Lead problem solving teams using 8D, 5 WHYs and fishbone analyses.
Drive CAPA activities to improve performance.
Ensure CAPA actions meet ISO 9001 and other requirements.
Analyze data and prepare quality metrics.
