Job summary

3M in Maplewood, MN is seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to lead quality initiatives and cross-functional efforts for new product introductions. You will apply advanced quality tools to translate VOC into robust quality plans and collaborate with Lab, Product Engineer, Application Engineer, and Manufacturing to ensure quality at the factory level.

Responsibilities include leading design for quality activities, driving process improvements, and monitoring KPIs such as COQ and LSS savings.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or higher in a science or engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
Two years of combined plant experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Quality Engineering and/or Product Engineering in a private, public, government or military environment.
Experience in high-tech manufacturing environments (electronics, interconnect, data center, semiconductor, medical, automotive, aerospace).

Responsibilities

Lead quality initiatives to promote VOC-driven quality plans and robust quality systems.
Drive Design for Quality for new product commercialization and NPIs.
Provide expertise in APQP, FMEA, control plans, PPAP and related quality tools.
Analyze KPI trends (LSS savings, COQ) and drive continuous improvement.
Support SPC and SQC activities and maintain quality documentation in PLM/SAP environments.
