Kalon Executive Search is partnering with a rapidly growing organization in health and wellness to recruit a detail‑driven Purchasing Specialist in New Haven, CT. This role supports procurement operations by managing purchase orders, coordinating shipments, and maintaining supplier relationships.

You will gain exposure to global sourcing and logistics while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure inventory needs are met. On-site with potential for hybrid after onboarding and training.

Qualifications

• 1–2+ years of purchasing, inventory planning, logistics or related experience.
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience.
• Excellent organizational and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Create and process purchase orders through the ERP system based on demand and inventory.
• Manage orders from creation to delivery, tracking status and resolving issues.
• Coordinate domestic and international shipments for on‑time delivery.
• Maintain supplier relationships and ensure proper documentation.
• Assist with international purchasing, import logistics and tariffs.
• Monitor supplier pricing and communicate changes to stakeholders.
• Support vendor negotiations on pricing, lead times, and terms.
• Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality and customer support teams.
• Build strong supplier relationships and provide professional service.
• Perform additional purchasing and supply chain duties as needed.
