Job summary

The Manhattan Strategy Group (MSG) is seeking a Protocol Specialist to support the USTDA with event management, logistics, outreach and related activities, including reverse trade missions (RTMs), conferences, forums, workshops, trainings, and other events.

A full range of services necessary to execute these activities includes event planning and project management; venue and vendor coordination; domestic and international travel and logistics; support for high-level foreign delegations and U.S.

Qualifications

• At least five (5) years of experience supporting protocol requirements for international delegations with Heads of State, senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, and other high-level participants.
• Formal training or certification in protocol, diplomatic protocol, international protocol, or a related field is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of official forms of address, precedence, flag and country protocols, seating arrangements, introductions, receiving lines, gift exchanges, ceremonial requirements, and other customs associated with high-level international engagements.
• Experience supporting official ceremonies, VIP arrivals and departures, bilateral meetings, signing ceremonies, receptions, and other formal events may be required depending on the applicable Task Order.
• Must exercise discretion, cultural awareness, attention to detail, and sound judgment when advising on sensitive or high-level protocol matters.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement plans for RTMs, conferences, forums, trainings, and other events in the United States and overseas.
• Coordinate venue selection, vendors, logistics, travel, lodging, visas, and on-site support for participants.
• Manage recruitment, outreach, and registration; prepare agendas, itineraries, and event materials; arrange interpretation and translation as needed.
• Provide post-event monitoring, evaluation, data analysis, reporting, and closeout activities to measure impact and outcomes.
