Job summary

Atomic Vest is seeking a Project Manager & Financial Controller to lead cross-functional initiatives, starting with expansion into Europe, and ensure the integrity of financial operations across multiple entities and product lines.

Reporting to the CFO and FinOp, you will build the PM function, manage month-end close, back up treasury and tax, and collaborate with finance, compliance, legal, and operations to scale rapidly.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of project management experience leading cross-functional projects in financial services/fintech.
• Experience managing regulatory, licensing, or market expansion projects in financial services.
• Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Asana, monday.com).
• Meaningful finance and accounting experience in fintech, banking, brokerage, or RIA environments.
• Comfort navigating regulated multi-entity structures, including international subsidiaries.
• Working knowledge of US corporate tax compliance and experience working with external tax advisors.
• Hands-on treasury and cash management experience with internal controls.
• Basic knowledge of IFRS to supervise EU-based accountants.
• Proficiency in NetSuite or comparable ERP systems.
• Advanced-level English for cross-team collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional projects through completion, including expansion into Europe, coordinating with regulators and outside counsel.
• Build the project management function as the initial hire, establishing intake, prioritization, templates and status reporting standards.
• Plan and run projects across finance, compliance, legal, and operations from scoping through delivery.
• Maintain a company-wide view of timelines, risks, and resources, and escalate issues early.
• Prepare clear status updates for leadership and run effective project meetings.
• Take on core controllership responsibilities: own accounting books for tech and RIA entities, run month-end close, oversee corporate tax with FinOp and external advisors.
• Design and implement improvements to the month-end close using NetSuite and other systems.
• Develop consolidated accounting policies and controls for a fintech environment across entities.
• Prepare the company for a consolidated audit in 12–24 months.
• Back up the CFO on treasury: cash positioning, approvals, bank relations, and runway forecast.
• Partner with stakeholders across finance, compliance, legal, operations, and engineering.
