Job summary

Valmet is seeking a Technical Project Buyer in Beloit, WI, to lead procurement for paper machine project components and coordinate with engineering and assembly teams. You will analyze drawings, select subcontractors, manage bids, and ensure on-time delivery within budgets and quality standards.

The role requires a diploma in mechanical engineering technology and at least 5 years of manufacturing experience, with strong communication and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent training in mechanical engineering technology or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of manufacturing industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze sub-assemblies and determine procurement strategy for subcontractors.
• Manage supplier selection, bidding, purchasing, follow-up and expediting.
• Support project managers and engineering during manufacturing and assembly.
• Procure industrial parts and ensure quality documentation from suppliers.
• Maintain supplier lists and monitor project progress through shipment.
