Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Production Network Engineer to design, deploy, and operate a global, AI-enhanced production network spanning data centers, edge locations, and backbone links.

You will lead cross-functional initiatives to improve reliability and performance, drive automation, and mentor peers while aligning infrastructure with evolving AI and product demands. The role emphasizes scalable, observable operations and strategic stakeholder collaboration.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in CS or related field.
8+ years of production network engineering experience.
Experience with BGP/OSPF/IS-IS/MPLS in large-scale networks.
Proficiency in Python for configuration, provisioning or monitoring at scale.
Experience leading cross-functional network reliability projects.

Responsibilities

Lead design/delivery of large-scale production network projects across data centers and backbone.
Define strategy/roadmap for network reliability and capacity.
Develop automation to reduce manual operational work and speed up workflows.
Own incident response and post-incident reviews to drive root cause analysis.
Collaborate with architecture and software teams to align investments with demand.
Refine runbooks, monitoring, and observability to reduce MTTD/MTTR.
Mentor engineers on best practices and systems thinking.
