Job summary

Crusoe Cloud is seeking a Staff Network Production Operations Engineer to own production reliability across our global network infrastructure, including edge, backbone, data center fabric, and GPU cluster interconnects. This is a hands-on ownership role focused on incident response, RCA, and operational excellence that keeps AI workloads running at scale.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production network engineering experience in large-scale environments.
• Hands-on experience with streaming telemetry, SNMP, NetFlow/sFlow, Grafana/Prometheus, ThousandEyes.
• Experience operating RDMA/RoCE fabrics for GPU/HPC workloads and tuning (PFC, ECN, DCQCN).
• Proficiency with BGP, EVPN-VXLAN, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, QoS, TCP/IP in data centers.

Responsibilities

• Own uptime across Crusoe's global edge, backbone, data center, and GPU cluster networks, supporting AI workloads at scale.
• Lead end-to-end incident response for high-severity network events, including mitigations, stakeholder updates, and postmortems.
• Drive RCAs for production incidents and define remediation plans.
• Improve observability with streaming telemetry, NetFlow, and dashboards.
• Write Python-based automation to reduce toil and speed MTTR.
• Create and maintain runbooks, escalation playbooks, and SOPs.
• Collaborate with Architecture/SRE to define and track SLI/SLOs with real-time dashboards.
• Mentor senior engineers and promote a culture of operational excellence.
